The interview prep toolkit.

2 PDFs that read together. The one-pager is the answer structure. The question bank is what you'll be asked.

Both PDFs, in your inbox in a minute. You'll also get The Next Move on Saturdays. Unsubscribe any time.

    The one-pager

The structure of an answer, on one printable page.

3 versions of the self-introduction with their timings, so the 30-second one and the 3-minute one aren't the same speech cut short. Then CARL, which is my version of STAR: situation and task merge into context, and the letter you get back goes to the lesson. A note on decision framing, and a list of what to cut from a story.

    The question bank

What you'll be asked, and what each question is scored against.

7 families of question: direct, situational, projective, competency, motivation, off-script and salary. For each one, what the interviewer is scoring, example questions to rehearse, and short answer rules. Then the 6 questions almost every process asks, with the trap in each, and a set from the HR business partner.

    How to use them

Mark the questions you'd rather not get.

Go through the bank and mark those. They're the ones to rehearse out loud, with the one-pager next to you. Do it before an interview is booked. The days between a recruiter call and the interview are never enough on their own.

    Next

The framework this toolkit plugs into.

The 5-Day Career Strategy Sprint. 1 email a day, each one a piece of how I run a search with clients: the target role, the company list, a CV check against that role, then a 30-day plan and a weekly system to run it on a few hours a week. Day 1 lands the minute you sign up.
