This page describes how vitaliilavelin.com ("the site") collects, uses, and protects your information.
Who runs this site
This site is operated by Lavelin Consulting AB (org. nr 559554-6259), based in Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: lavelinconsulting@gmail.com.
What data we collect
- Newsletter subscriptions: if you submit your email to subscribe to The Next Move, sign up for the free 5-Day Career Strategy Sprint, or buy a Career Snapshot, your address is stored by Kit (the email service provider) for the purpose of sending the Sprint emails and newsletter issues. Sprint sign-ups also receive The Next Move. See Kit's privacy policy.
- Server logs: standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs) are kept temporarily for security, abuse prevention, and basic operational diagnostics.
- Visit statistics: the site counts visits with Umami. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page, the site or link you came from (including any campaign tags in that link), your country, region and city, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and clicks on the Zoom join button. Your IP address is used to look up the location and is not stored. Repeat visits are grouped under an anonymous ID that changes regularly, so no lasting profile of you is built.
- No tracking pixels. No advertising trackers. No cookies set by this site beyond what your browser may set automatically.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the Sprint emails and the newsletter you asked to receive, or that came with your Career Snapshot purchase.
- To detect abuse and operate the site reliably (server logs).
- To see which pages and which links bring visitors, and which visits end in a signup (visit statistics). This is our legitimate interest under GDPR.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email lavelinconsulting@gmail.com from the address you wish to query. You can also unsubscribe from the Sprint emails or the newsletter at any time using the link in any email you receive from us.
Sharing and storage
Your email is stored by Kit (United States), the email service provider. Visit statistics are stored by Umami Cloud in its EU region. Server logs are kept on the hosting provider's infrastructure (Hetzner, Germany). No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Career Snapshot
Career Snapshot is a paid diagnostic report on your CV, reviewed by Vitalii before it is sent to you. To write it we need your CV and your answers to a short intake form. You pay through Stripe, so your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
These providers process your data for this product:
- Stripe: takes the payment and passes us your email address and the payment status. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Tally: hosts the intake form and stores your answers and the CV file you upload. See Tally's privacy policy.
- Kit: the same email provider as the newsletter. It sends the emails about your order, including the link to your report. As a buyer you also receive The Next Move, my Saturday newsletter. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
- AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google): a language model drafts the report from your CV and form answers, so the provider of that model receives them for that purpose. Today the model comes from Anthropic. OpenAI and Google are listed because we may move to one of their models later.
How long we keep it:
- We delete your CV, your form answers and the report 90 days after purchase. This includes the internal copies we use to review your report before it goes out.
- We keep your name, email address, target role and target country or region, together with the order record (order date and payment status), for our records and our accounting.
- The link to your report works for 30 days after we send it, and stops working after that. It also stops working if the payment is refunded or disputed.
- If we ask you for a new CV because the first file could not be read, the link we send fills your earlier answers into the form for you, so they travel in that link's address. Keep the link to yourself.
- At the same 90-day point we also delete your submission at Tally. Tally then removes it permanently, including the uploaded CV file, within a further 90 days.
Career Strategy
Career Strategy is a paid engagement: a written strategy report for your move, a session to go through it, and 2 weeks of support after. To write it we need your answers to a questionnaire and your LinkedIn profile. You pay through Stripe, so your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
These providers process your data for this engagement:
- Stripe: takes the payment and passes us your name, email address, country and the payment status. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Tally: hosts the questionnaire and stores your answers. See Tally's privacy policy.
- Apify: reads the public LinkedIn profile you give us in the questionnaire. See Apify's privacy policy.
- Anthropic: a language model helps draft the report from your answers and your LinkedIn profile, so Anthropic receives them for that purpose. Vitalii reviews and edits every report. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Kit: only if you already receive emails from us. We mark you as a Career Strategy client so the Career Snapshot follow-up emails stop.
How long we keep it:
- We keep the payment record (your name, email address, country, the amount and the payment and refund status) for 7 years, as Swedish bookkeeping law requires.
- We keep your questionnaire answers and your report while we work together and afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
